To ensure secure OTC transactions and maintain a fair and stable trading environment, AEGET requires all verified merchants to strictly adhere to the following guidelines.
1. Fraud Prevention
Common Types of Fraud:
11. Bank Transfer Fraud
- Fake bank transfer screenshots: Fraudsters use edited images to simulate successful transfers and deceive merchants into releasing funds;
- Fake SMS notifications: Messages sent from unofficial numbers claiming payment success.
1.2 Alipay Fraud
- Nickname impersonation: Changing Alipay nickname to misleading content like “Transferred XXX to you”;
- Fake screenshots: No real transaction occurred, but fraudulent screenshots are provided;
- Payment requests: Fraudsters initiate a request matching the order amount to confuse the merchant.
1.3 WeChat Fraud
- Avatar and nickname spoofing: Using similar profile names/images to impersonate a buyer;
- Delayed payment settings: WeChat supports delayed transfers; merchants should confirm receipt before releasing crypto.
Prevention Tips:
- Always verify the actual receipt of funds via the official banking app, Alipay, or WeChat Pay. Do not rely on screenshots or SMS;
- Confirm the payer’s name matches the order details;
- Transfer funds to a secure bank account immediately after receiving payment.
If You Suspect Fraud:
- File a dispute on the order immediately and do not release crypto;
- Contact the buyer to cancel or complete the payment;
- If funds have already been released by mistake, contact AEGET support immediately to initiate account risk control.
2. Bank Account Freezing (Frozen Cards)
Common Reasons for Freezing:
- Involvement in telecom fraud, illegal gambling, or suspicious transactions;
- Abnormal transaction frequency or volume;
- Sensitive payment notes such as “Bitcoin” or “USDT”.
How to Prevent Freezing:
- Do not accept payments from accounts not owned by the buyer;
- Use separate cards for OTC trading and personal finance;
- Control transaction frequency and avoid repeated use of the same card;
- Replace collection cards regularly;
- Check if a card is active and unrestricted before using it.
If Your Bank Account is Frozen:
- Contact your bank to identify the reason and responsible authority;
- For judicial freezes, prepare and submit documentation:
- Full transaction history (bank statements, platform records)
- Chat records with the buyer
- Proof of legitimate income or crypto asset source
3. Other Common Issues
3.1 Real-Name Verification
- Ensure payments are made from real-name accounts matching the buyer’s identity.
3.2 Insufficient Funds
- If temporarily unable to fulfill orders, take down advertisements to avoid cancellations or disputes.
3.3 Sensitive Transfer Notes
- If payment notes contain terms like “Bitcoin” or “USDT”, return the payment and note: “Wrong transfer”.
3.4 Optimizing Profit
- Profitability depends on your ad pricing and response rate. Adjust based on market trends.
3.5 Merchant Exit
- Merchants may exit the program anytime. If no violations are present, the deposit will be refunded within 7 working days.
Please follow these rules strictly to protect both your funds and the safety of OTC transactions. Contact AEGET support for any questions.
